Minimalism in Motion: An Interactive Portfolio for Prisma Arsitek
Prisma Arsitek started as a group project by three ambitious undergraduate architecture students in east Java who shares the same vision of modern architecture in 2016. Based in Surabaya, Prisma Arsitek focuses heavily on blending minimalism and modernism into everyday spaces. Their designs has perked the interest of indonesian press and have landed famous clients from all over Indonesia. They are expanding their team and their work as of 2020 when the pandemic hit home.
Online architecture portfolios has been a common practice for architects. However since 2020, there has been a bigger push for digitalisation among architects– leading to bigger competition in online marketing. There has been various free digital platforms to make website portfolios– but they all lack one thing: customisation.
Considering Prisma Arsitek’s known reputation, they wanted their landing page to be unique and interactive. All while simultaneously highlighting their modern works and approach for design. An accessible and interactive portfolio that is easy to edit and navigate is a must in their agenda.
simplicity, functionality, and interactivity. Every design choice was intentional. Clean and minimalist fonts were selected to give the platform a professional and contemporary feel, while a simple layout kept the focus on the projects themselves.
Native animations within Webflow were used to create a smooth and engaging browsing experience that matched the studio’s innovative spirit. A CMS-friendly system was integrated to ensure content could be updated quickly and efficiently, enabling the team to showcase new work with ease. The site also emphasized visual storytelling with extensive work galleries, allowing visitors to explore projects on their own.
Finally, a restrained and minimal color palette gave the professionalism impresion of the studio and gave the portfolio a timeless quality that resonates with both local and international audiences.
