Minimalist e‑commerce to maximize coffee subscription — a personal project

Lina’s Coffee Roastery is a small coffee roastery and café located in the heart of Berlin, Germany. The Roastery is driven by passion for coffee and love for the coffee community. From farmers to consumers, LCR believes in ethical production chain and transparency for all.
Through careful resourcing, LCR wants to tell their story online and make coffee shopping a comfortable and accessible experience.
Following LCR’s first café opening, the roastery has added more coffee beans and subscription purchases. LCR has active marketing platforms such as Instagram and a personal Roastery website, where they are very active. The website, however, doesn’t support online purchases and doesn’t show the newly added subscription methods. Customers are unable to purchase the beans online and view the variety of LCR’s coffee beans.
Blending the difficulties, we’ve come to the main objective of doing an accessible website reconstruction without losing LCR’s branding. As well as adding necessary pages to the website to match LCR’s vision.
Through wire framing and extensive trial and error, we’ve decided on LCR’s color palette that symbolizes nature and people. Brown for coffee beans and green for the farm and farmers. Cream being the main color of the three.
LCR’s Café in Berlin is known for its comfortable atmosphere, and they intend to implement this on their website as well, reducing saturated colors and big shapes to make the website elegant and easy to navigate for people of all ages.
The new LCR website now supports secure online shopping and subscriptions, turning the café’s brand into a functional digital platform. A consistent UI system with an earthy color palette, responsive layouts, and clear navigation ensures accessibility across devices.
On the development side, scalable templates and CMS integration allow easy product and subscription updates while maintaining performance. The result is a user-friendly, brand-aligned website that supports growth and enhances customer experience.
